Rainbow Tarot - Root Chakra
'I have right to be here'
Hello everyone,
Today, I'm thrilled to introduce the first Rainbow Tarot reading!
I'll start by talking briefly about the Root Chakra. Then, you'll explore the messages from the Root Chakra, aiming to find clarity, balance, and activation in that area.
I hope you enjoy it and discover meaningful insights to transform your mindfulness journey.
Let’s begin now!
Root Chakra - Muladhara
The Root Chakra, known as Muladhara, serves as our foundation, located at the base of the spine. It forms our connection to the physical body and the earth, essential for our survival from the earliest stages of life.
This chakra represents our fundamental rights, like the right to exist and receive what we need.
However, challenges such as lack of essentials or feelings of unworthiness can disrupt this foundation, leading to struggles in self-care and asserting boundaries.
In adulthood, issues like securing housing and maintaining financial stability often mirror imbalances in the Root Chakra.
Many of us, myself included, face these challenges as we navigate between societal expectations and our desire for freedom.
Anodea Judith's insights from the book 'Eastern Body, Western Mind' resonated with me a lot:
“In order to manifest we must be able to accept limitation. We have to be specific about what we want and be able to stick with it long enough for manifestation to occur.”
Reflecting on my journey at 30, I've realized how resistance to conventional paths -due to their limiting nature- made it harder for me to pursue stability in my life.
I’d like to share the questions I've asked myself, and I encourage you to do the same to assess the state of your Root Chakra:
Do you feel comfortable with your presence in the world?
Are you able to authentically express yourself?
Do you prioritize self-care and believe you deserve it?
Do you struggle with setting boundaries, body image concerns, or neglecting your physical needs?
These reflections offer insight into your Root Chakra's balance. Now, let's explore its energies further through Tarot cards.
Messages From The Root Chakra
As the underlying energy, we’ve got the XVI - Tower card. It symbolizes dramatic events or revelations capable of disrupting the stability of the root chakra, leading to imbalance.
The accumulation of these devastating events, both before and after birth, contributes to unbalancing our root chakra, often resulting in the loss of our sense of safety, stability, and groundedness.
Following this, we observe the ideal state of a balanced Root Chakra, represented by the Ten of Cups and the Ten of Pentacles.
The number ten holds significant numerological meaning in Tarot, symbolizing completion, fulfilment, and mastery.
The Ten of Cups typically represents emotional fulfilment, happiness, and harmony within relationships and family life. On the other hand, the Ten of Pentacles represents material wealth, financial stability, and prosperity.
With the appearance of the IV - Swords twice in this part of the reading, it underscores the importance of rest, reflection, and mental clarity in your healing process.
Take this time to pause, recharge, and gain insights into your Root Chakra issues, as indicated by the stability and structure associated with the number four in Tarot.
Here, with "Surrender to Inner Peace," the emphasis is on the energies of the IV - Swords. It encourages the cultivation of inner peace through daily practices of meditation and mindfulness.
You're encouraged to establish and maintain routines until you can manifest the security and stability you desire in life. Remember, consistency is key to feeling grounded and secure.
Since we've encountered the IV - Swords earlier with a figure lying on their back, I invite you to take a 5-minute break after reading this and practice Shavasana, also known as the corpse pose, for deep relaxation and for some fun!
Start by lying down on your back with your legs and arms spread wide open beside you. You may want to cover yourself with a blanket for extra comfort and warmth, especially if the floor feels cold.
Take three deep breaths, inhaling deeply and exhaling completely. With each exhale, release any tension you may be holding. Return to your normal breathing pattern and allow yourself to relax completely.
Allow your body to sink into the ground beneath you. Feel the contact with the earth and notice the heaviness of your body as you relax.
Simply observe the support of the ground underneath you, allowing yourself to surrender fully to its stability.
If you prefer practicing mindfulness in a sitting or standing position, focus on the sensation of your sitting bones or the soles of your feet making contact with the ground. Allow yourself to become fully aware of these contact points, grounding yourself in the present moment.
Now, take the next 5 minutes to enjoy deep relaxation and stillness within, allowing yourself to fully unwind and rejuvenate.
Alternatively, you may choose to facilitate a supportive meeting between your inner child and inner adult, nurturing and healing any unresolved emotions or experiences.
Allow yourself to enjoy the supportive feeling of the ground beneath you, and don't forget to put a smile on your face—it can make all the difference!
Embrace the playful and curious spirit of your inner child, free from the worries and concerns of your inner adult. Let yourself play and explore without judgment or expectation, simply enjoying the present moment.
Infuse light-heartedness and humor into everything you do, and embrace living in the moment. Your positive energy will radiate to others, and you'll find that life flows more naturally and joyfully.
Feel free to take these Root Chakra affirmations with you. Repeat them silently in your head or write them down as many times as necessary to release tension and restore balance to your Root Chakra.
I have right to be here.
I have right to have.
This earth supports me and meets my needs.
I am at peace with who I am and where I am in life.
I release past traumas and embrace my inner strength.
I love my body and trust its wisdom.
I am rooted in love and compassion for myself and others.
I am safe, secure, and grounded in the present moment.
It was a pleasure working on this Root Chakra post together, and I'm excited to continue exploring the entire chakra system with you!
